Nearly one in five children under five in Ghana’s rural communities are stunted, and one in ten is underweight. Malnutrition continues to be the biggest killer of children under 5 years.

Pregnancy poverty in Ghana is the leading cause of low birthweight, maternal mortality and other life- threatening pregnancy and birth complications due to inadequate prenatal and postnatal care.

Most water bodies in rural Ghana have become contaminated due to various reasons including illegal mining activities; thus heightening the risks of waterborne diseases as they waterbodies are the same source from which the locals drink from.

As an organisation, the Menaeni Foundation will never reach out to private individuals via personal messages on any social media channels. Please do not share any sensitive / banking card information with any individuals who may ask you for this type of information either online or offline.
